In 1982, Lorenzo Stocchero sold his first vertical blind business.
Experience, a taste for a job well done and an entrepreneurial instinct were already there.
In 2000, around the family table, a decision was made:
to create a company in their own image.
Canplex is launched with the Stocchero family and 2 associates.
In 2001, Canplex is incorporated. Operations begin in Mascouche, on Marconi Street.
Two extruders. 10,000 sq. ft.
Deliveries are made with a rented truck.
In 2002, the first customer arrives.
Then the first employee: operator Michel Paquette.
The team begins to take shape.
Between 2006 and 2007, major accounts join the adventure. Canplex grows.
And begins to specialize in flexible POS.
In 2008, a major customer in the patio door industry places its trust in Canplex.
A turning point. Over $1 million invested.
The plant expands. Extrusion lines multiply.
In 2009, Canplex developed its first all-PVC fenestration system: the Series 5000.
In 2014, the company acquired the assets of Extrusions du Nord. Two sites. More capacity. More responsibility.
In 2015, the 6000 Series was born.
In 2017, new calibrated profiles reinforce partner confidence.
In 2019, a key milestone is reached: Canplex becomes 100% family-owned.
In 2020, the father is bought out.
Then the pandemic strikes. Even so, up to three sites remain in operation.
In 2021, Canplex looks to the future and buys a 200,000 sq. ft. plot of land.
Between 2022 and 2023, a new plant is built.
A $12 million investment.
In September 2023, the official move marks a new chapter.
